EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (June 23, 2016) - Robinson Fresh ®, a division of C.H. Robinson, is proud to announce its commitment to increasing children's access to fresh fruits and vegetables through its Kids Speak Fresh campaign. The company is focusing on educating, engaging, and encouraging the produce industry, employees, and the general public to support foundations like the United Fresh Start Foundation, which has a similar goal of providing access to healthy foods.

'Providing the next generation access to fresh fruits and vegetables is not only paramount to our industry's future success, but also our responsibility as today's industry leaders,' said Jim Lemke, president of Robinson Fresh. 'This campaign will drive awareness and action to all people who have a direct impact on the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables.'

One of Robinson Fresh's goals is to include today's youth, food companies and other interested parties in the conversation. At the 2016 United Fresh Convention, the company announced its commitment and campaign, featuring kids talking about fruits and vegetables. Robinson Fresh asked them to donate to the mission and join the conversation.

'It's clear today's kids have a voice and strong opinions about their food. They're the future and will help lead the revolution in food consumption,' said Lemke. 'Our Kids Speak Fresh video highlights children as they, sometimes hilariously, try and talk about different fruits and vegetables. We look forward to helping support kids like these and give them access to fruits and vegetables so they can build a love for healthy foods.'

Behind this campaign is a commitment Robinson Fresh is making to sponsor or donate over a half a million dollars to multiple organizations. It will do this through online donations, salad bar donations, event sponsorship, employee fundraisers, and an integrated marketing, media, and promotional campaign with retailers, restaurants, and other community awareness programs.
