CA Technologies Adam Elster Joins IT-oLogy's Board of Directors

ISLANDIA, NY, August 22, 2013 - Adam Elster, executive vice president, Mainframe and Customer Success, CA Technologies, has joined the Board of Directors at IT-oLogy, a national nonprofit collaboration of businesses, academic institutions and other organizations dedicated to growing IT talent pipeline and the IT profession.

Elster will join a team of top business and academic leaders who serve on the IT-oLogy Board to support the organization in its work to promote, educate and grow the IT profession.

"We are pleased to have Adam join IT-oLogy's Board of Directors," said Lonnie Emard, President of IT-oLogy. "His experience, dedication to excellence and vast network within the IT industry will be a vital asset to our organization."

Elster joined CA Technologies in 1999 and has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years. He has an extensive background covering business strategy, sales and operations. He holds a Master of Science degree in management and information systems from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

"Both CA Technologies and IT-oLogy are dedicated to growing IT talent from the classroom to the boardroom," said Elster. "I feel passionately that organizations including CA Technologies must share resources; technology and expertise to help others around the world reach their fullest potential."

Elster was instrumental in the development of the company's Associate Consultant Program several years ago. Designed to attract, develop and retain the best and brightest entry-level professionals from leading educational institutions, the program has helped recruit over 100 consultants to date, who combine strong technical acumen with a desire to work at a world-class organization. In return, CA Technologies offers a wide variety of learning opportunities from solution accreditation to enablement training, including ongoing learning and development opportunities, job shadows, and a formal Advisor Program where the company's top professionals are teamed with the Associates to offer real-world, on-the-job guidance and mentoring.

"Like CA Technologies, IT-oLogy understands that business, academia and communities must work collaboratively to enrich the IT profession. This opportunity allows me to contribute to their worthwhile mission in helping to educate and shape the IT industry's workforce," he added.
