European markets opened lower during the early hours of trade on Friday as investors focus will be on U.S. nonfarm payrolls. European markets opened lower during the early hours of trade on Friday as investors focus will be on U.S. nonfarm payrolls.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 was lower by 0.10% with most sectors trading with negative sentiment. FTSE 100 was trading at 7,513 level, higher by 5 points. CAC 40 was trading at 5,372 level, up by 6.38 points and DAX was trading at 12,987 level, up by 19 points in early trade on Friday.

In Europe, the Spanish Constitutional Court ordered the regional parliament of Catalonia to close on Monday, raising doubts over whether the region will be able to declare independence from Spain. Banco Sabadell said Thursday that it would shift its headquarters out of Catalonia and Caixabank is set to make a decision on a move Friday.

In the U.K., sterling was at 4-week lows against the dollar as traders started to look at a possible leadership contest in the ruling Conservative party.

On the data front, manufacturing data in the U.K.will be present on Friday. However, most of the market eyes will be on U.S. nonfarm payrolls, a key metric for the U.S.Federal Reserve.
