CaixaBank received the second highest overall score in mobile banking functionality, according to the "2014 Global Mobile Banking Functionality Benchmark" report from Forrester Research,Inc., which evaluated mobile applications from 32 large retail banks across Europe, America and Australia.

In 2014 Forrester's analysts gave the bank, presided over by Chairman Isidro Fainé and CEO Gonzalo Gortázar, a score of 74 out of 100.

Forrester pointed out that CaixaBank "earned a perfect score" in the range-of-touchpoints category, which describes the development of mobile banking services for a range of different smartphone and tablet platforms and mobile browsers.

Additionally, Forrester concludes that CaixaBank "offers excellent content on its smartphone app", as it provides strong cues to key tasks and let customers apply for a product via app.

CaixaBank's Línea Abierta application is available in versions for all the leading mobile operating systems: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and more.

CaixaBank is leading mobile banking and innovation

As per July 2014 CaixaBank had 4.2 million mobile service customers, of which 2.1 million make use of the Línea Abierta application each month. Overall the bank handles around 120 million mobile transactions every month, of which 33% involve fund transfers. CaixaBank's Línea Abierta application is available in versions for all the leading mobile operating systems: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and more.

Furthermore, in 2014 CaixaBank's applications have been downloaded more than 2 million times. CaixaBank's entire range of mobile applications is available via its own "app store", CaixaMóvil Store, where users can download the bank's more than 70 applications free of charge. The apps can also be found at the Apple App Store, Google Play and other app stores.

CaixaBank is considered a global leader in innovation and new technologies.
