Worrigee local wins a lifetime's supply of fuel
The fourth generation Worrigee resident entered the competition last month after filling up with Vortex Premium fuel at the South Nowra Caltex Star Mart service station on 30 July 2015.
After finding out that she won the life-changing prize, Ms Howard went back to the Caltex Star Mart site to thank the team personally.
"I only entered the competition because the customer service attendant handed me the flyer and highlighted instructions on how to enter the competition," Ms Howard said.
"I'm still pinching myself - winning this prize is absolutely unbelievable and has changed my life.
"When I moved into my current home I had an afternoon tea with friends and family and joked to them that they all must bring good karma - looks like they did just that!
"You can have all the money in the world but it's really family and friends that bring me happiness, however, in saying that, winning this prize will have a huge impact on my life."
Given it was the biggest customer promotion in the company's history, Caltex Australia's Executive General Manager Commercial, Bruce Rosengarten, said he couldn't wait to call the lucky winner once the competition was drawn.
"I made the call to Ms Howard and she just couldn't believe that she'd won - she started crying tears of happiness," Mr Rosengarten said.
