Cambridge Bancorp (NASDAQ: CATC) and its subsidiary, Cambridge Trust Company, today announced that it has named David Lynch as Chief Investment Officer and Damon Barglow as Senior Portfolio Manager. The appointments further bolster Cambridge Trust’s extensive wealth management offering with veteran investment managers.

The addition of experienced investment managers such as David Lynch and Damon Barglow reinforces Cambridge Trust’s position as a top-tier investment management firm in New England.”

Lynch comes to Cambridge Trust from Athena Capital, a registered investment advisor serving high net worth families and institutions, where he served as Managing Partner and Deputy Chief Investment Officer, overseeing the firm’s investment management and business activities. Prior to joining Athena Capital in 2004, Lynch served as a portfolio manager at Colorado PERA, the state pension fund. Earlier, Lynch was a research associate at Eaton Vance Management in Boston and an economist at Cahners Economics.

Lynch holds a B.A. in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the Boston Economic Club, the CFA Society of Boston and the CFA Society of Colorado. He also is the co-author of “Social Finance and the Postmodern Portfolio: Theory & Practice,” published in the spring 2016 issue of the Journal of Wealth Management.

Barglow joins the Company from Rockland Trust, where, for the past five years, he was a portfolio manager assisting high net worth and institutional clients with asset allocation and portfolio management. Formerly, he was a portfolio manager for Eastern Wealth Management. Earlier in his career, he held positions in equity and credit analysis with Middleton & Company, Vector Securities and Shorebank Corporation.

An alumnus of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he earned a bachelor’s degree, Barglow also holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and also is a Certified Financial Planner™. Barglow has been active in professional circles, serving as a board member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
