CAMPOSOL wins "Expoalimentaria Innovation" contest for frozen fruits and vegetables 02/09/2014

CAMPOSOL stood out in the V Innovation Contest of the Expoalimentaria trade show 2014 where it ranked first in the frozen fruit and vegetable category with the product: "Artichoke heart quarters" and second in the same category with the product: "Whole green asparagus." This contest aimed at recognizing business creativity in preparation of products that will reach the most sophisticated consumers with a more modern lifestyle.

This trade show had the following guests: the Prime Minister Ana Jara, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Magaly Silva, and ADEX Chairman, Gastón Pacheco, who visited CAMPOSOL stand. Samuel Dyer Ampudia, CAMPOSOL Board of Directors' Deputy Chairman, and José Antonio Gomez, Chief Commercial Officer, showed the variety of frozen, fresh and canned products, which were admired and recognized by the attendees.

CAMPOSOL is commercializing these frozen fruits and vegetables in the main supermarket chains in Europe, Asia, and the United States. It launched its campaign in the Peruvian market in January this year after conducting a market research to identify the Peruvian consumers' purchase motivations, where it highlighted attributes such as health, practicality, and quality.

Besides artichoke heart quarters and green asparagus, CAMPOSOL also commercializes other frozen products such as diced mango and avocado, and blueberry and aji amarillo (chili pepper) strips, which were ready to serve and eat as they are peeled, cut or ready-cooked according to the chosen presentation; all this is related to the practicality in preparing food.

"Many of CAMPOSOL's products have great health benefits, so we thought that it was a great idea to distribute them also in Peru. We are aware that the Peruvian consumer is very demanding, so we will worry about providing them with first-quality, highly nutritional and easy-to-prepare products," commented Jose Antonio Gómez, CAMPOSOL's Chief Commercial Officer.

This V Innovation Contest had the representatives of the Exporters' Association (ADEX), PROMPERU, Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, USIL School of Chefs, media, Institute Toulouse Lautrec, and renowned Peruvian chefs as assessing jury. Our products are already being sold in supermarkets of Wong, Metro, Vivanda, Plaza Vea, and Tottus.
