(Reuters) - Canadian Pacific Railway said eight railcars of a freight train, seven of which were carrying crude oil, derailed in Red Deer County, Alberta on Friday.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident, Canadian Pacific said in an email on Monday, adding site cleanup and investigations are ongoing.
"After all necessary repairs and safety checks, the track was re-opened to train traffic on the morning of June 9," company spokesman Andy Cummings said.
