Canadian Western Bank : CWB Financial Group donates $15,000 to BC fire relief efforts

EDMONTON, July 26, 2017 - CWB Financial Group has made a $15,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support communities affected by the ongoing fires in southern British Columbia.

'British Columbia is experiencing one of the worst wildfire seasons in its history. The fires have displaced and impacted thousands of people across the province,' said Mario Furlan, Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager, British Columbia. 'One of our core values at CWB Financial Group is caring for our people, our clients, and those British Columbians directly affected by the fires. We are committed to making sure those affected have the support they need, and this donation will assist in providing immediate and long-term relief.'

CWB Financial Group is committed to helping clients that have been impacted by the fires and will review circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Affected clients are encouraged to contact their account manager to discuss possible options.

Canadian Western Bank branches will be accepting public donations for the Canadian Red Cross from July 13 to August 14, 2017.
