Capgemini Secures 5-Year Contract From Bayer In India

PARIS--French information technology services company Capgemini (>> CAP GEMINI) said Wednesday it signed a five year-contract worth about 80 million euros ($101 million) with Bayer Business Services, a unit of German drug and chemicals giant Bayer AG (>> Bayer AG), to provide software development and infrastructure services in India.
Under the terms of agreement, Capgemini will take over the operations of Bayer Business Services' information technology service center in Mumbai, which has about 550 employees.
"With this contract we are entering into a new strategic partnership with Bayer," said Olivier Sevillia, Chief Executive for Capgemini's application services division in Europe, in a statement.
Capgemini shares traded 0.3% lower at 29.12 at around 0841 GMT.
