                    Capita plc appoints Chairman Designate

The Board of Capita plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Powell as
Non-Executive Director and Chairman Designate from 1 September 2016. Ian will
succeed Martin Bolland as Non-Executive Chairman on 1 January 2017.

Until end of June 2016, Ian Powell was Chairman and Senior Partner of
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) UK. Ian was also a member of the team which
leads the international network of PwC firms, a global network of professional
services firms with revenues in excess of $35bn and more than 200,000 people.
He also led the EMEA cluster of the PwC network, which spans over 90
territories across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ian has broad financial,
commercial and regulatory experience and led PwC's interactions with the UK
Government and other public sector organisations.

Martin Bolland, who announced his intention to stand down in February 2016,
will step down after six years as Non-Executive Chairman and eight years as a
Non-Executive Director of Capita plc on 31 December 2016.

Martin Bolland said: 'Ian's breadth of commercial experience and strong
leadership skills will be of enormous benefit to Capita. Our search process,
led by Capita's Senior Independent Director Gillian Sheldon, has identified a
business leader who has very strong credentials and is highly in tune with
Capita's objectives, business model and markets. Ian's background of delivering
growth in a highly competitive environment across a diverse and innovative
organisation makes him ideally suited to Capita. I am delighted to welcome Ian
to the Board and look forward to working closely with him as I handover to him
in the coming months.'

Ian Powell said: 'I admire Capita's strong growth record and I am really
pleased to be joining the Capita Board to help steer the Company through the
next stages of its development. Capita's focus on helping clients transform and
evolve their operations has real relevance in the current rapidly shifting
commercial, societal and political environments. I look forward to drawing on
my leadership and commercial experience at PwC to support the Board to grow
Capita further, deliver its business objectives and generate long-term
sustainable value to shareholders and wider stakeholders.'

Andy Parker, Chief Executive of Capita plc said: 'Ian brings a robust track
record of leading and building professional services businesses across PwC.
These skills and his extensive network across the markets in which we operate
make him an ideal Board leader for Capita. I and the Board look forward to
working closely with him from September.

Martin has and continues to make an immense contribution to Capita and we are
grateful for his wisdom and counsel as a valued member of the Board and as
Non-Executive Chairman for the last six years. We look forward to his continued
leadership through this year and working with him to effect a smooth handover
to Ian.'

Ian Powell will be appointed to the Nomination Committee on 1 September 2016
and will become Chair of this committee from 1 January 2017.

                                    -Ends-
