Cardinal Bank’s commitment to our communities remains as strong as ever, even during a challenging economic climate. We are extremely proud to host an event that has become so meaningful to our community,” said F. Kevin Reynolds, Cardinal Bank President. “The Cardinal Classic represents one of the many ways in which Cardinal gives back to our communities, and continues to be strongly supported by our clients, business partners and community friends. This year, our program focused on the devastating effects of mental health issues among our region’s youth. It is only through the efforts and support provided by programs like Inova Kellar that we can attempt to support troubled students at critical times, to turn their feelings of hopelessness into an opportunity for a hopeful future. We are truly making a tangible and far-reaching impact in the lives of the families served by Inova Kellar Center, and the charitable organizations across our region supported through the Cardinal Bank Community Fund.”

Collectively, over 500 volunteers, donors and business partners participated in the annual event, reflecting the Classic’s long-standing reputation for contributing to healthy communities throughout the region. Held at the Country Club of Fairfax, Cardinal’s signature event drew a full field of golf and tennis players for its tournaments, and included an evening reception hosted by Honorary Chairs and media leaders Mark and Margot Bisnow, Washington Wizards play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz, and ABC7 journalist Kimberly Suiters.

“Cardinal Bank and Inova Kellar Center are a classic example of the benefits that can be achieved through a successful public-private partnership. Working together, we improve the lives of children and their families in our community,” said Rick Leichtweis, Ph.D., Executive Director of Inova Kellar Center. “In our twelve years of partnership, Inova Kellar has been able to expand our service capabilities to accommodate the growing need for our services, and can continue to ensure access to Inova Kellar for those without the financial resources to obtain this caliber of care. We are deeply grateful for Cardinal Bank’s continued support, and the leadership of Bernard Clineburg and Kevin Reynolds, in helping us provide services to children and families in need.”
