Cardinal Bank (NASDAQ: CFNL) announced today that Andrew J. Peden has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Real Estate Lending. As Executive Vice President, Peden becomes a voting member of Cardinal Bank’s Officers’ Loan Committee. He will continue to provide guidance and insight to the real estate lending group, as well as lead the Real Estate Lending Market Team.

A seasoned industry executive, Peden has more than 14 years of diverse real estate lending experience, three years of which were spent as a credit analyst at the start of his banking career. In his new role, he will continue to be active and oversee the important relationships of developers and real estate investors, with a primary focus on acquisition, construction financing, and commercial development. Peden’s role was further expanded in 2011 with his promotion to Market Executive to include leading the business development efforts of a team of lenders and business development officers.

In the community, Peden serves as chairman of the Cardinal Charity Classic Golf Committee, Cardinal’s annual charity event, and is active in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
