Cardno senior consultant Jeffrey Davis is set to give his presentation A Phosphate Mine Water Model Utilizing the GoldSim Modeling Tool at an annual conference for the third time this year.

On Monday, April 13, he will speak at the Mine Water Solutions in Extreme Environments 2015 in Vancouver, Canada. This event will examine solutions to mine water issues in very challenging environments.

Jeffrey's presentation - which can be viewed here - provides an overview of new Numeric Nutrient Criteria (NNC) regulations and how they affect the way water is managed. It also highlights results of a pilot test on how to intelligently manage a mine's water system.

In March, Jeffrey gave the presentation at the 2015 National Groundwater Association Groundwater Summit in San Antonio, Texas. It was also delivered at February's Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Annual Conference & Expo and Colorado Mining Association 117th National Western Mining Conference in Denver, Colorado.

Jeffrey is a senior hydrogeologist and licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in the areas of groundwater and GIS modeling and software and model development.

He provides groundwater related consulting services for the mining, oil and gas, and water resource sectors and has extensive knowledge of groundwater flow and transport principles, and has lectured and taught numerous workshops and classes worldwide.

In addition, he was the chief engineer overseeing the development of the popular groundwater modeling software, GMS.

Jeffrey is an active participant in the National Groundwater Association (NGWA), Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Energy & Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF) and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF).
