Dr. David Provis, Senior Principal Oceanographer, presented on the Modelling Requirements for Coastal Inundation as part of the 'Changing Environment' session at the Coast to Coast Conference 2016, August 29 - September 4.

David also chaired the session focused on New Tools for Old Problems. The intent of these sessions was to assist people and organisations to better understand and respond to coastal, estuarine and marine issues as well as sustainable outcomes.
The Coast to Coast Conference provides like-minded marine and coastal industry leaders to connect and learn from each other through the interactive schedule set in place for delegates. This year, the Conference took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne from the 29 August to 4 September 2016. The Conference brings everyone together to discuss how to inspire others to create positive change within the coastal and marine areas.
Dr. David Provis has over 30 years' experience backed with an impressive resume of projects he has managed and lead throughout Australia. His diverse experience across a range of specialty areas include oceanographic instrumentation, analysis of oceanographic data, use of numerical models in oceanography and preparation of input for environmental assessments on marine to name a few. David leads the Cardno Melbourne-based team in the Coast and Ocean team.
