ASX Announcement Friday March 3, 2017 Broome facility launched and two new projects won

Energy Made Clean (EMC), the 100% owned subsidiary of Carnegie Clean Energy Limited (ASX: CCE), is pleased to announce the opening of its Broome Facility today by the Hon Colin Barnett MLA, Premier of Western Australia, and to announce the award of two new solar and microgrid project wins.

The opening of the Broome facility follows on from last year's joint venture agreement between EMC and Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd to create Energy Made Clean Kimberley (EMCK). Eastern Guruma are a supply nation certified Aboriginal Corporation with a 180-person workforce, of which 68% are Indigenous. The partnership will allow EMC, through EMCK, to expand into the northern Western Australian market to capitalise on the growing requirement for reliable, off-grid energy solutions. EMCK will provide innovative energy solutions including renewable energy technologies and stand-alone power systems which will deliver reliable, cost effective and low maintenance services to people living and working in remote areas.

EMCK Broome facility

To coincide with the facility opening, EMCK is also pleased to announce its first two major projects for the region. EMCK won the competitive tender to be the preferred supplier for solar and battery microgrids to two Indigenous communities, Joy Springs and Yakanarra, in the Fitzroy Valley serviced by Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation. The multi-million dollar contract is due to commence construction towards the end of the financial year with commissioning aimed for Q4 this year.

Marra Worra Worra is an Aboriginal owned and run resource centre for over 35 Aboriginal Communities in the Fitzroy Valley.

Dickie Bedford, Marra Worra Worra's CEO commented:

"Our primary aim is to provide support services to existing and emerging groups in the Fitzroy Valley and to assist them to develop strong and sustainable communities and organisations. There is an immediate need for the communities of the Fitzroy Valley to take steps to ensure their sustainability and survival. Our investment in solar will help to reduce remote Indigenous communities' reliance on diesel power stations and provide long term independence."

EMCK has also signed an agreement with Eastern Guruma for the supply and install of 10 solar water pumps at Mt Barnett Station. The submersible solar water pumps will be predominantly used to provide drinking water to cattle on the station. EMCK will also provide a remote communication network system to monitor the pumps and eliminate man power required on the station to check the system status. This system has wide applicability for all outback stations in the region.

ABOUT THE BROOME FACILITY

EMCK's new office and workshop in Broome will provide a direct path of service to the region and will provide better opportunity to engage with the local community in the consultation process to establish energy needs as well as provide employment for local contractors to install and monitor energy systems.

EMCK will provide clean energy and water solutions for on and off-grid applications in the domestic, commercial, resource and pastoral sectors in the Kimberley. Demonstrations of our power and water solutions will be on show at the new EMCK facility in the Blue Haze Industrial Estate in Broome.

Diesel generators are the major source of energy for power stations in remote communities, tourism, agriculture and mine sites. EMCK's solar and battery storage solutions would replace the requirement for those generators to run 24-7, whilst providing a more efficient, consistent and clean source of energy. EMCK's solar water pumping solutions would also give the Kimberley's agricultural sector new capabilities to irrigate vast amounts of land, free from the constraints of diesel supply, costs and emissions.

EMC Managing Director, John Davidson, said he was excited about the opportunities and community connection that the new facility will bring.

"Eastern Guruma and Energy Made Clean already have a track record of delivering successful projects within the Kimberley region. This new facility will allow us to better work with local stakeholders, industry, government and the wider community to deliver clean energy solutions throughout the Kimberley region."

Eastern Guruma CEO, Ron Villaflor, commented:

"Eastern Guruma is excited to launch this new Broome facility and be actively involved in this partnership with Energy Made Clean to form EMC Kimberley Pty Ltd, as part of our diversification strategy. Our focus is to deliver sustainable jobs for aboriginal people and this

new focus on sustainable energy will open doors for alternative energy solutions in regional areas and directly benefit aboriginal communities."
