UTIC, exclusive partner of the Carrefour Group in Tunisia, in association with ASICOM has today opened its first Carrefour hypermarket in Algeria in Bananiers-Bab Ezzouar-Algiers, right in the heart of the new "City Centre" Shopping Centre. This urban store provides its customers with a modern and friendly shopping environment and stocks a wide selection of high-quality products at competitive prices, with the emphasis very much on fresh produce.

Carrefour - quality for everyone!

Right in the heart of a fast-growing commercial neighbourhood and in a highly urban environment, the Bananiers-Bab Ezzouar-Algiers hypermarket is easy to get to both by car along the expressway and by tramway (the nearest stop is Bab Ezzouar Pont). Over more than 4000 m², it has a tailored offering with the emphasis very much on food products. With thousands of references, it also features a tasting area and a range of services to make shopping easier.
Fresh products have pride of place in the store's welcoming atmosphere. An extensive "market" area with counters run by genuine professionals provides customers with a wide selection of high-quality fresh produce, including fruit and vegetables, traditional fish counters, halal butcher and meat products, grilled meat products, delicatessen products, breads and pastries (all baked on-site). The selection, checks and product quality are all subject to strict requirements. Food safety is an ongoing priority, providing customers with the reassurances they need so they can shop with complete peace of mind.
The non-food range covers essential day-to-day needs and includes textiles, small and large electrical appliances, tableware, stationery, media products and DIY accessories. There is also a multimedia area just by the store entrance. And a special area for seasonal ranges will offer a varied selection of products, updated on a regular basis to reflect major events of the year.
The store also features a car park with space for 750 cars and 24 check-outs, including 4 "basket only" check out and 1 priority check-out (for disabled people and pregnant women); all of them accept payment by debit/credit card. Furthermore, the store is open seven days a week and has long opening times in order to meet customers' needs.

Carrefour, a responsible local employer

This new store contributes to both the economic and social development of the Bab Ezzouar district and the surrounding areas. The store employs some 300 people who are firmly committed to meeting their customers' needs in order to establish a long-term relationship based on trust. All of the store's teams - including the bakers, the market gardeners, the fishmongers and the butchers - constantly hone their food-related skills in order to ensure ultimate flavour, quality and freshness. Products prepared or made on-site showcase regional producers, providing our customers with satisfaction.
