Carrefour : Belgium and Greenyard Fresh enter into a new cooperation agreement for fresh produce

On 18 April, Carrefour Belgium signed a new cooperation agreement with Greenyard Fresh, the leading global fresh fruit and vegetable importer and ripener / pre-packer. This further strengthens the long-standing collaboration between the two parties and the services that franchise partners get.

Thanks to a new purpose-built distribution centre built at Greenyard's Sint-Katelijne-Waver site - which will be fully operational before the end of summer - Carrefour's franchise partners will get more frequent deliveries, more appropriate order quantities and shorter order periods when they use the 'First-in-Fresh' logistics platform. This new collaboration should result in more effective stock management, which in turn will mean less wastage.

The cooperation agreement adds more than 1500 fresh products (meat, fish, etc.) to the already existing fruit and vegetable range that Greenyard Fresh supplies to its Carrefour franchise partners.
