MOSCOW and AMSTERDAM - Apr. 10, 2017 - Amedia TV and CBS Studios International announced today a multi-platform licensing agreement to broadcast programming produced by CBS and SHOWTIME, including the exclusive Russian pay television rights to one of the most anticipated TV premieres of 2017, the new 'Twin Peaks.'

As part of this licensing agreement, Amedia TV Russia will present the return of the cult mystery drama on May 22 on its own digital platform, subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) service Amediateka. Twenty five years later, original creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost are writing and executive producing the new 18-part limited event series, along with executive producer Sabrina S. Sutherland. It is directed entirely by David Lynch. Kyle MacLachlan will return as FBI Agent Dale Cooper, along with other original cast members including Mädchen Amick, David Duchovny, Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer, Sheryl Lee, Peggy Lipton, Harry Dean Stanton, Russ Tamblyn, Alicia Witt and Grace Zabriskie. New cast members include Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Judd, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Jim Belushi, Monica Bellucci, among others.

Beginning April 15, AMEDIA Premium and Amediateka subscribers will have the opportunity to refresh their memories of the original two seasons (30 episodes divided into 8 and 22, respectively). The original seasons of 'Twin Peaks' will be broadcast in HD quality and offer new Russian dubbing.

In addition to the new 'Twin Peaks,' the agreement includes a new critically acclaimed spin-off of the legal drama 'The Good Wife,' 'The Good Fight'; the premiere of 'I'm Dying Up Here,' the fictional drama series about L.A.'s famed 1970's stand-up comedy scene; plus series that have become modern TV classics - 'Californication' (1-7), 'The Borgias' (1- 3) and 'Dexter®' (1-5).
