SAN FRANCISCO, June 14, 2016 - Susan Lundgren has been named Senior Vice President, Communications, CBS Interactive, it was announced today by Jim Lanzone, Chief Digital Officer of CBS Corporation and CEO of CBS Interactive, and Gil Schwartz, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of CBS Corporation. Lundgren will hold the top communications post at CBS Interactive, reporting directly to Lanzone and Schwartz.

In her new role, Lundgren, who was previously Vice President, Communications, at CBS Interactive, will oversee all external and internal communications and public relations efforts for CBS Interactive and its portfolio of digital brands, including CBS.com, CBSNews.com, CBSSports.com, CNET, GameSpot, TVGuide.com and many others.

Lundgren has over 15 years of communications experience working with some of the top brands within tech and media. Prior to CBS, Lundgren was with Apple, where she was responsible for managing global strategic communications for legal, government affairs and industrial design as a part of the corporate communications team. Before that, Lundgren held a Director position at Porter Novelli, a global communications agency. While at Porter Novelli, Lundgren led corporate communications efforts for Qualcomm, the leader in next-generation wireless technologies. Lundgren oversaw a team that was responsible for executive communications, change management, media relations, financial communications and product PR. Earlier in her career, Lundgren led media relations and brand positioning for start-ups in the mobile and software industries.

Lundgren is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science. She also holds a master's degree in fine arts from the University of San Francisco. Lundgren will be based in San Francisco.
