Impact Analysis of the Final Sunshine Rule

Quickly following the final published Sunshine Act, Cegedim commissioned a steering committee of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients to discuss the impact of the new regulations on their businesses. The result of this committee was the delivery of an Impact Analysis Document that was published by Cegedim and shared with all AggregateSpend360 clients this month.

The updates to AggregateSpend360 include an enhanced federal reporting template, which includes separated submission formats for research and non-research payments, the inclusion of both National Provider Identifier (NPI) and a state license numbers, and the additional discretionary information defined in the final ruling and submission formats.

Compliance IDs, Powered by OneKey ("Compliance IDs"), is the integrated customer and licensure data service for AggregateSpend360. Compliance IDs provides customer identification management, U.S. federal and state licensure updates, and augmentation data services, ensuring the customer information in AggregateSpend360 is complete and accurate. The steering committee provided valuable guidance and confirmation of requirements and planned utilization of customer data for their businesses, as per the final Sunshine Act requirements. As a result, Cegedim's Compliance IDs solution will be updated to accommodate the new reporting requirements, including the integration of the new data sources, and the updating of data fields that are needed for reporting.
