CEMEX is providing specialty ready mix concrete for the construction of a massive upscale building complex in Hamburg, Germany. The 38,000 square meter complex is expected to be completed in fall 2014 and will house several businesses, including a new ultra-modern AUDI showroom.

The multiple-use building owned by Auto Wichert GmbH will be anchored by a 5,100 square meter AUDI terminal which will include a retail space, a client area, and a garage. In addition to the AUDI showroom, the complex will have space for offices, restaurants, and medical offices, as well as a 300-unit parking facility.

"We are very proud to participate in this prestigious project," says Eric Wittmann, President of CEMEX in Germany. "Whether for major commercial projects, housing, or infrastructure, our tailor-made building solutions can help achieve even the most ambitious construction projects."

The L-shaped building will have a 100-meter long façade designed in line with the corporate identity guidelines of AUDI AG. A concrete and steel skeleton will be outfitted with glass and special perforated aluminium sheets, which will create an impressive view expected to attract the attention of tourist, residents, and potential customers.

Delivery began in August 2013, with the second floor currently in construction. The basic structure should be completed by the end of August 2014 - a very ambitious timetable. Therefore, collaboration between the construction company, Wolff & Müller Regionalbau GmbH & Co. KG, and CEMEX has been crucial for its successful execution. CEMEX's logistical expertise has been a great asset for this project, as high-volume deliveries are being made around the clock despite the job site being located in a high-traffic area.
