Migration from V5 to V6 permits centralized management of all
licenses around the world
Stuttgart, 21 June 2012 - Webasto, global market leader for
car rooftops, convertible roofs, and heating, cooling and
ventilation systems for the automotive industry, has opted in
favor of the new V6 technology by Dassault Systèmes. The
consulting and software specialist CENIT is the company's
partner for the migration from CATIA V5 to V6.
The migration to CATIA V6 and ENOVIA V6 will enable Webasto
to manage all its licenses around the world from one single,
central location. In addition to the functional advantages of
the V6 technology, the license model offers more flexible
means of managing all the licenses in place at the various
company locations.
Webasto is relying on PLM consulting provider CENIT to
introduce this central license management system. "The
CENIT experts were on hand to offer guidance and practical
support. Our main focus was on the flexible global
utilization of the V6 technology", says Bernd Göllnitz,
Director IT Technology & Operations at Webasto AG.
"We're proud that together with Webasto we succeeded
in developing a concept for the central management of all CAD
licenses and thus pave the way for one of the largest global
V6 projects", says Kurt Bengel, CEO of CENIT AG, in
summarizing the project.
In its PLM segment, CENIT supports clients from the
manufacturing industry in optimizing digital product
development and production. The company's consulting,
service and software portfolio is based on standard products
by Dassault Systèmes and CENIT's own solutions such as
FASTSUITE. As Value Added Reseller, CENIT is accredited for
the entire Dassault Systèmes PLM Portfolio - CATIA V5/V6,
DELMIA, DYMOLA, SIMULIA, ENOVIA, and 3DVia Composer.
