Financial services provider plans to realize uniform
"corporate workstation" by 2015
Stuttgart, 21 November 2011 - Over the coming years and in
cooperation with CENIT AG, W&W Informatik GmbH plans to
standardize its technical support for the back office of W&W
Group. The launch of the first phase, with an order volume of
approx. € 2.7 million, is set for 2012.
The "corporate workstation" project covers the dialog
components inbox, job overview and electronic file. It also
extends to the technical support processes associated with
process control, including a flexibly configurable routing
machine. Currently, the various business segments rely on
different applications to process their individual tasks. The
objective is that in future the business segments will all
work with a uniform set of applications.
The first step will be to develop the basic functionalities
of a standardized, Group-wide workstation. These will be
piloted by the unit that processes legal expenses insurance
claims. Introduction will then follow at all departments of
Württembergische insurers. The corporate workstation is a
core tool in establishing the W&W Group's providence services
center. Completion of the back-office standardization project
is planned for 2015.
"CENIT is helping us to strategically optimize our job
processing system. The new, standardized corporate
workstation and the new technologies it features will enable
us to sustainably reduce individual job processing times and
enhance our level of control. This will make our processes
more transparent and replicable, and further boost our
performance quality", says Ralf Stankat, Chairman of the
Board of W&W Informatik GmbH in Ludwigsburg.
CENIT AG was able to convince W&W Informatik with its
experience and competency regarding the components of the
corporate workstation. "As a long-standing partner of W&W
Group, we are happy to be able to contribute our knowledge of
the requirements and processes within the enterprise as well
as our experience in the field of enterprise information
management", explains Kurt Bengel, CEO of CENIT AG.
With its portfolio in the field of enterprise information
management, CENIT is a spe-cialist for IT-based management of
enterprise-relevant documents and information.
