Frozen foods specialist opts for new business intelligence
solution
Stuttgart, 25 October 2011 - The European market leader in
direct sales of ice cream specialties and frozen foods is
introducing IBM Cognos as a business intelligence solution.
CENIT AG was able to convince the company with its
proof-of-concept. bofrost*, headquartered on the lower Rhine,
employs more than 10,000 people in 13 European countries.
The decision went in favor of IBM Cognos after a detailed
market analysis and evaluation process, conducted with the
aid of BARC analysts. As part of a proof-of-concept exercise,
IBM Germany and its business partner CENIT AG were able to
convince the decision-makers at bofrost* of the broad
potential and outstanding performance of IBM's business
intelligence platform Cognos.
The next step will be to integrate this BI platform into the
existing IT infrastructure, as part of an overarching
implementation project. The requirements of the sales and
controlling segments will then be successively integrated
into the business reporting structure, along with the
wide-ranging analysis functions.
