HOUSTON - April 7, 2012 - CenterPoint Energy's
electric utility business announced today that it has put
on hold a proposed electric transmission line from the
Fayetteville Substation to the Zenith Substation in the far
western edge of its 5,000 square mile service
territory.
The decision was based on revisions in the criteria used by
the Public Utility Commission to evaluate the need for such
projects.
The Company is contacting area landowners along the proposed line to notify them of these developments.
Should ERCOT determine that a similar project is necessary
in the future, CenterPoint Energy will provide advanced
notice to potentially affected land owners and seek their
input.
