CenterPoint Energy ranks highest in Operational Satisfaction in Utility Trusted Brand & Engagement Residential Study

Company ranked first in Midwest, second in South in Cogent Energy Reports 2014 Study

MINNEAPOLIS- April 10, 2015- CenterPoint Energy ranked first among the largest Midwest Region natural gas utilities in the U.S. and second in the South Region for operational satisfaction in the Cogent™ Energy Reports 2014 Utility Trusted Brand & Engagement™ Residential study. The study is a comprehensive survey of customers regarding operational satisfaction, product experience and brand trust. The operational satisfaction measure is based on a utility's performance in: Safety & Reliability, Billing & Payment, and Customer & Field Service. In December, CenterPoint Energy was also named a Utility Customer Champion by Cogent Reports.

Cogent™ Energy Reports, a division of Market Strategies International, released customer satisfaction rankings for the nation's 127 largest electric and gas utilities with operational satisfaction scores across all providers averaging 732 on a 1,000-point scale. CenterPoint Energy's overall natural gas operational satisfaction score in the Midwest Region was 749 and 784 in the South. The rankings are based on how CenterPoint Energy performed compared to other large utilities in each region.
