Houston, TX - August 13, 2014 - The official start to hurricane season began June 1, but the peak of the season is just approaching and CenterPoint Energy urges customers to stay prepared and alert.
"We are only half-way through hurricane season, so it's important that customers stay informed and ready should a hurricane threaten our area. Historically, hurricane season reaches its peak during September and October," said David Baker, vice president of Electric Operations for CenterPoint Energy.
