KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading global health IT supplier Cerner Corp. will showcase client insights and best practices in the Cerner Booth (913) at HIMSS15, April 12-16, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Executives and physicians from 16 health care organizations will share stories of successful collaboration with Cerner.

Noon to 1 p.m. Beebe Healthcare, Georgetown, Del.
  Dr. Jeffrey E. Hawtof, vice president of medical operations and informatics, will discuss Beebe Healthcare's rapid implementation of 38 Cerner solutions in just nine months. Highlights include reaching 91 percent physician medication order entry at the time of Meaningful Use Stage One attestation 90 days after go-live, and leaping from HIMSS Stage 3 to 6 in four months. 
   
1 to 2 p.m. Memorial Hospital Gulfport, Gulfport, Miss.
  Gene Thomas, CIO and vice president, information systems, will discuss Memorial Hospital Gulfport's "big bang" implementation of more than 60 Cerner solutions in 2014. Thomas will highlight the benefits of the "big bang" approach, the importance of creating an implementation plan that fits an organization's culture; and lessons learned from the post-implementation stabilization period.
   
2 to 3 p.m. North Shore – LIJ Health System, Great Neck, N.Y.
  Laura Semlies, vice president of finance and revenue cycle transformation, will describe North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System's configuration of Cerner Soarian® Financials across approximately 400 medical group practices, representing 2,500 physicians.
   
3 to 4 p.m.Northern Arizona Healthcare, Flagstaff, Ariz.
  Cullen Linn, director of planning and integration, will discuss the early stages of Northern Arizona Healthcare's journey to interoperability. Linn will share their strategy, which includes the CommonWell Health Alliance.
   
4 to 5 p.m. Adventist Health, Roseville, Calif.
  Dr. Steve Margolis, CMIO, and Alan Soderblom, vice president and CIO, will discuss the collaboration, value creation and operational efficiencies achieved within their 2,700 bed health system. 
   
5 to 6 p.m.Health Quest, LaGrangeville, N.Y.
  Bob Diamond, CIO, will discuss how Dynamic Documentation™ combined with Nuance Dragon voice recognition has optimized physician documentation across three facilities and is currently utilized by more than 400 physicians. Diamond will describe the impact of Cerner Instant Access™ in reducing log-in times from 45 seconds to near immediate access.

  Timothy Reiner, vice president of revenue management, will describe how Cerner's revenue cycle suite of solutions integrates clinical and financial data onto a single platform, yielding multiple improvements at Adventist Health System - including a 5 ½- percent decrease in accounts receivable and reaching 103 percent of its cash collections goal.
