KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Forty-one Cerner EHR client speakers across 28 organizations will present as part of 26 education sessions and four nursing informatics pre-conference symposium sessions during HIMSS15, April 12-16, in Chicago.

Clients will present on topics that cover a range of health care information technology themes, including health information exchange, provider and patient engagement, population health, and interoperability.

In addition, Cerner senior vice president of medical informatics, Dr. David McCallie, Jr., will join Intermountain Healthcare's Stan Huff for a presentation titled Extending the EHR Platform with Open Apps and Services. Cerner and Intermountain Healthcare recently announced its iCentra implementation at two Intermountain Healthcare hospitals and 24 clinics across northern Utah.

Education sessions are selected through a peer-reviewed process. The sessions involve attendees in intimate discussions and settings designed to encourage faculty–attendee interactions.

More than 300 education programs, including keynotes, thought leadership sessions, roundtable discussions and e-sessions, plus preconference symposia and workshops, are scheduled during the five-day conference.
