FAIRFAX, VA, Dec. 22, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) today announced that it has been awarded a US$9.9 million, five-year contract to provide technical expertise to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command G-4 Logistics Office at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Technical expertise service areas covered under the contract include weapons systems acquisition, pollution prevention, hazardous materials minimization, process analysis and facilities engineering. Working with AMCOM G-4, including Program Executive Offices, depots and field activities, CGI will help ensure that AMCOM weapon systems and facilities are in compliance with applicable international, federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations.

AMCOM G-4 provides technical guidance and oversight to AMCOM in the areas of environmental, facilities and property accountability. CGI has served AMCOM G-4 since its inception, achieving a comprehensive understanding of the client's unique requirements and helping to eliminate redundancy, to enhance cost avoidance and to increase safety and compliance.

CGI will assist AMCOM G-4 with a variety of services, including:
