CGI Group Inc. (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Mr. Alain Bouchard, Ms. Julie Godin and Mr. Joakim Westh. These members will also be included in the slate of nominees for shareholder consideration at the Company's next Annual General Meeting to be held in early 2014.

Alain Bouchard is Founder, President and CEO of Alimentation Couche-Tard. Couche-Tard is the largest independent convenience store chain in North America, with some 6,200 stores and more than 60,000 employees in its network. In Europe, with some 2,300 stores and 18,500 employees in its network following the acquisition of Statoil Fuel & Retail, Couche-Tard is a market leader in the convenience and fuel retail sector, primarily across Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Mr. Bouchard is based in Laval, Quebec.

Julie Godin is Executive Vice-President, Global Human Resources and Strategic Planning, at CGI. She oversees the human resources function worldwide across 400 offices in 40 countries, including organizational development and global CGI strategic planning. Before joining CGI, Ms. Godin founded Oxygen Corporate Health, a leader in health and wellness programs in the workplace. As CEO, she drove the firm's strategic planning and growth, overseeing all operations and working closely with major clients. Ms. Godin is based at CGI's head office in Montreal, Quebec.

Joakim Westh, is an independent director sitting on the Boards of several leading Nordic companies, including Saab, Swedish Match and Intrum Justitia. Until 2009, Mr. Westh was a Senior Vice-President and executive team member at Ericsson Group with responsibility for strategy, operational excellence and sourcing. Mr. Westh is well-known as a leading expert in the fields of technology and management, particularly across Scandinavia, where CGI is a market leader with more than 70 offices and 10,000 professionals. Mr. Westh is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

These three new CGI Directors replace Mr. Claude Boivin, Mrs. Eileen A. Mercier and Mrs. Donna S. Morea, leaving the total number of Board members unchanged at 14.
