CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) today announced the successful final-phase implementation and go-live of CGI Advantage® Human Resource Management for Los Angeles County, Calif., a solution replacing an outdated payroll system that supports more than 100,000 employees.

Los Angeles County, the nation's most populous county and largest employer in Southern California, has partnered with CGI for solutions and services on a highly successful, multi-phased enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernization effort. As part of the current phase, this latest application improvement includes the human resource management functions of CGI's built-for-government ERP solution, CGI Advantage, and final integration with CGI Advantage's payroll management systems.

The system upgrade was implemented on time and within budget, and was preceded by a series of rigorous tests in partnership with the County.

"I'm tremendously proud of the County's team behind this effort and the executive support and vision from our County management and Board of Supervisors," said Robert A. Davis, Assistant Auditor-Controller for Los Angeles County. "The public and L.A. County employees have been well-served by the management and technical expertise CGI has demonstrated throughout the course of this extremely complex and large-scale implementation."

"In our engagement with Los Angeles County, we have forged a partnership with an organization that is mission-focused and delivery-driven," said Dave Delgado, Senior Vice-President, CGI. "County leaders and project managers are committed to processes and practices that result in the effective deployment of systems and technologies that support the public interest. We are proud of our accomplishments and ongoing partnership with Los Angeles County."

"In contrast to several public ERP failures in California, the power of CGI's client collaboration, close partnerships, and strong governance once again proves that CGI Advantage ERP is the low risk, best value offering to state and local government. I applaud Los Angeles County for their continued strong leadership in local government administrative system implementations," adds Daniel Keene, Senior Vice-President of State and Local Government Solutions, CGI.
