The Charles Schwab Corporation released its Monthly Market Activity Report today. Company highlights for the month of August 2014 include:

  • Net new assets brought to the company by new and existing clients in August 2014 totaled $8.5 billion.
  • Total client assets were a record $2.45 trillion as of month-end August, up 18% from August 2013 and up 3% compared to July 2014.
  • Clients’ daily average trades were 460 thousand in August 2014, down 1% compared to August 2013 and flat compared to July 2014. August 2014 trading activity included a 6% sequential decrease in daily average revenue trades.
