Chevron Corporation : Chevron : Richmond, Calif., Refinery Running at Reduced Rates

NEW YORK--Chevron Corp. (CVX) continues to produce transportation fuels at its Richmond, Calif., refinery, but at reduced rates, a spokesman said Wednesday.
"We continue to manufacture transportation fuels in the parts of the refinery that were not affected, but it's at a reduced rate," said Chevron spokesman Sean Comey.
The 245,000 barrel-a-day Richmond refinery suffered a fire Aug. 6. Published reports have said the refinery is operating at 50%-60% capacity. Mr. Comey declined to estimate the level at which the refinery is operating.
