LONDON--Senior officials from the Group of 20 largest economies are discussing calling a meeting of an emergency forum to try and coordinate a response to surging food prices due to a severe drought in the U.S., the Financial Times reports Monday.
G20 officials plan to hold talks by the end of the month on setting up the meeting and it could take place in late September or early October, the FT says citing four officials familiar with the conversations.
