Russia Feb. 1 Grain Stocks Fall on Poor Harvest 

MOSCOW--Grain stocks in Russia this year are considerably lower than last year because of poor harvest caused by drought.

USDA Says 120,000 Tons of Soybeans Sold to China in 2012-13 

WASHINGTON--Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 120,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2012/2013 marketing year, the USDA said Tuesday.

UPDATE: India May Allow Private Companies to Export Government Wheat 

NEW DELHI--The Indian cabinet will consider allowing private companies to directly export up to 5 million metric tons of wheat from government stocks, a move that could double exports of government stocks amid a global supply crunch, senior government officials said Tuesday.

Commodities Market Impact Weather: Possible Significant Snowfall for Western Midwest 

The DTN agricultural weather forecast Tuesday calls for a significant snowstorm for the western Midwest as well as for the central and southern Plains, favorable conditions continuing for the eastern Midwest and Delta region, a mainly dry week ahead for Argentina, ample moisture for southern Brazil, drier, hotter conditions for South Africa, no significant cold weather for Ukraine and Russia and widespread rains for India and Pakistan.

U.S. Soybeans End at One-Week High on Argentina Rain, Exports 

CHICAGO--U.S. soybean futures settled at a one-week high Tuesday, boosted by concerns about dryness in Argentina and strong demand for the oilseed.

CHICAGO--U.S. cash soybean basis levels are holding at historically high levels for February in the face of tight U.S. stockpiles.
