China Airlines : 2017 China Airlines x Jeremy Lin x House of Dreams Charity Day

The '2017 China Airlines Charity Day' was held at Sanmin Junior High School in Neihu on July 19, 2017. NBA star point guard Jeremy Lin was the special guest on the day and he joined China Airlines Chairman Nuan-Hsuan Ho in encouraging youths from the House of Dreams to never give up on every challenge they face in life.

This year marked the fifth time since 2013 that China Airlines has partnered with Jeremy Lin for charity promotion. During the '2017 China Airlines Charity Day', Chairman Ho, Senior Vice President Hsing-Huang Kao, and Jeremy Lin took on 50 youths from the House of Dreams in head-to-head basketball action. Lin also shared his personal experiences with youths to encourage them to pursue their interests and make their dreams come true.

China Airlines spares no effort when it comes to fulfilling its corporate responsibility. Since 2011, employees have volunteered to teach aviation English and share their knowledge of flying with students of all ages at nearby schools in Taoyuan every month outside of summer and winter breaks. Their charitable initiatives have won frequent praise from the local community as well. The mission of China Airlines in corporate philanthropy is to care for the disadvantaged, develop national talent, cultivate rising sports stars, and promote Taiwanese brands. The vision has in turn been developed into six key missions: grass-roots education, charitable assistance, tourism promotion, social welfare, caring for the planet and supporting the sports.
