On November 18, 2014, CAMCE's subsidiary-Beijing Woteer Water Technology co., Ltd. (WOTEER) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Degrémont France (Degrémont) in Beijing. According to the agreement, both sides will fully cooperate in the area of municipal water supply/drainage and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) in industrial wastewater around the globe, and provide concessional procurement terms and favorable technical supporting services for each other. Both companies also agree to make full use of their advantages and have complementary advantages in their future cooperation to promote oversea business in terms of investment and financing, operation etc.


Woteer has intensive customers from industrial fields of electric power, petrochemical, metallurgy, seawater desalination, etc. Meanwhile, Woteer has outstanding achievements in water treatment such as wastewater treatment up to standard, reclaimed water reuse treatment (ZLD), as well as boiler feed water treatment. For instance, the Near ZLD project of Dalu coal chemical wastewater of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Group has successfully solved the typical technical problem of wastewater treatment for the coal chemical industrial park. The project of Raw Water Pretreatment of 400,000 ton per day for Xinyuan Aluminum Company in Chiping is the largest lime pretreatment system in China at the present. The ZLD project of Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Wastewater for Huaneng Changxing Power Plant Build Large Shut Down Small Engineering is the first ZLD project contract to treat FGD wastewater based on forward osmosis technology in China.  A number of patents of lime pretreatment technology owned by Woteer have taken a leading position among competitors in China. In 2013, Woteer introduced the most cutting-edge technology - forward osmosis technology. The forward osmosis technology has strong competitiveness in the fields of brine concentration, seawater desalination, etc.

The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement will promote the complementary advantages of Woteer's forward osmosis ZLD technology and Degrémont's comprehensive technology, and provide solutions for water treatment systems around the world. Meanwhile, they will take the advantage of their abundant global marketing network to develop the international water market.
