On 10 January 2017, the board of directors (the "Board") of China Communications Construction Company Limited (the "Company") received a resignation letter from Mr. Yang Liqiang ("Mr. Yang") who, due to reaching retirement age, resigned from his position of vice president of the Company with effect from 10 January 2017. The duties of Mr. Yang have been handed over and his resignation will not affect the normal operation of the Company. Mr. Yang will not hold any position with the Company from the effective date of the resignation. Mr. Yang has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and is not aware of any matter relating to his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Yang for his valuable contributions to the Company during his term as a vice president of the Company.
