On November 10, CGGC vice president Chen Xiaohua met with Laotian President Choummaly Sayasone in Diaoyutai State Guest Hotel, Beijing.

During the meeting, Chen Xiaohua introduced the history of CGGC's reform and development, current situation of CGGC's international business and CGGC's business condition in Laos in detail. Chen Xiaohua said, CGGC has become a diversified and comprehensive construction group involved in 9 industries including engineering construction, investment, real estate, cement, civil explosive and finance after 44 years' development. In recent years, CGGC has quickened its pace of internationalization，constructed many outstanding projects in many other countries around the world, built CGGC's good image as an international brand and been a pioneer of Chinese "going out" enterprises. CGGC has entered the market of Laos for over 20 years, and has undertaken a number of economy and livelihood projects including Electrification Project for the Northern Rural Area, Xesalalong Irrigation Project, Houay Lamphan Gnai Hydropower Station. CGGC wishes to create many more jobs, train many more technical talents, promote people's lives and economic development in Laos, and make much more contribution to consolidate traditional relationship between Chinese and Laos through further construction and investment in Laotian energy infrastructures.

President Choummaly Sayasone spoke highly of CGGC's contributions to Laotian social and economic development and its good performance capability in project construction. He expressed his welcome to CGGC's further participation in construction and investment in Laotian energy infrastructures to flourish Laotian economy and benefit Laotians, as CGGC is such a strong and creditworthy Chinese enterprise.
