China Gezhouba : Main Media from Nepal Visit CGGC International

On August 29, led by Om Sharma, Chief Editor of Nepal Red Party Net and news Consultant of the former Premier, press representatives of main media from Nepal visited CGGC International upon the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and under the organization of the All-China Journalists' Association.CGGC is the representative of China-Nepal cooperative enterprises, and is also the only enterprise the delegation visits. During the visit, the delegation visited the Enterprise Culture Exhibition Hall and watched the international image promo film of CGGC successively. And they spoke highly of the high level and rapid development of CGGC in international businesses. At the subsequent communication meeting, Li Pingli, Deputy Chairman and Deputy Party Secretary of CGGC, extended the warm welcome to the delegation, and briefly introduced the market development, contract performance and fulfillment of CGGC in Nepal. Li Pingli noted that CGGC sincerely cooperates with all sectors of society in Nepal in accordance with the concepts of 'fair, integrity and win-win cooperation', is always committed to the promotion of local social advancement and livelihood improvement, and has played a crucial part in maintaining the long-standing friendship between China and Nepal.CGGC also proactively practices the strategy of localization, implements the system of local purchase, widely employs local personnel, and improves the skills of local employees, while actively participates in the hydropower infrastructure investment and construction in Nepal.During the Nepal earthquake, CGGC proactively joined in the earthquake relief, provided shelters and foods for the victims, maintained the damaged roads, and made donations to the stricken areas, winning the widespread praise from the government and the public.In 2016, Prime Minister Ollie who paid a formal friendly visit to China and attended the Boao Forum for Asia 2016, led a delegation to visit the headquarters of CGGC International, reached consensus with CGGC on consolidation and deepening of both countries' friendly cooperation in construction and investment of energy infrastructure, and encouraged CGGC to comprehensively participate in Nepal's infrastructure construction. In May this year, the governments of China and Nepal formally signed the MOU for the 'Belt and Road', which opens a new chapter for CGGC's extensive and in-depth participation of infrastructure construction and investment in Nepal.Li Pingli noted that the cooperation between China and Nepal, especially the cooperation on the 'Belt and Road', is not limited to the connectivity of international engineering construction and other economic areas, but also covers the cultural communication, and hoped that the media from both countries could make joint efforts to maintain the long-standing relationship between China and Nepal.Mr. Om Sharma noted that, via this visit, the delegation had more extensive understanding on CGGC's overall strength and its representative works. He also spoke highly of the great economic and social benefits brought by Nepal Hydropower Station to Nepal, and expressed the sincere gratitude to CGGC for its unselfish help during Nepal earthquake.Moreover, he noted that, to further deepen the cooperation between both countries under the 'Belt and Road' Initiative, media from both countries are bound to make their joint efforts, and Nepal media will create good environment for promotion and public opinion.

It is learnt that the media visiting China covers all the major traditional and emerging media in Nepal, and the members of the delegation include chief editors and journalists from 16 mainstream media in Nepal including Red Party Network, Nepal News Agency, Gorkhapatra Daily, Radio Nepal, Nepal Television and Journalism Online, etc.
