On September 14, Cote d'Ivoir President Ouattara announced that Abidjan-Grand Bassam Highway was open to traffic.

With a total length of 42 kilometers, the Abidjan-Grand Bassam Highway project was divided into three sections, including the construction of six-lane two-way highway, 28 kilometers, and the renovation of old road, 14 kilometers. As a key infrastructure construction project in Cote d'Ivoir, this highway links Abidjan, the economic capital of this country, the most important commercial and handicraft industry bases along the coast, and Grand-Bassam, a tourist attraction.

Since August 2012 when this project commenced, the project management staff has never feared challenges and always been diligent. Although it took Cote d'Ivoir teams 12 months more than expected to relocate local residents, our staff overcame lots of difficulties to complete the project on schedule, receiving high praise from the Cote d'Ivoir government. This project won good reputation for CMEC in Cote d'Ivoir, and thus laid solid foundation for further market development.
