China Machinery Engineering : Shanghai CMEC Plaza and “CMEC Science Park” Open

At 8:28 on the morning of July 24, the completion ceremony of Shanghai CMEC Plaza was held. CMEC Chairman Sun Bai, CMEC President Zhang Chun, CMEC CFO and Board Secretary Zhou Yamin, Assistant President Wang Weiling and Assistant President Zhang Zhiliang took part in the ceremony in spite of the intense heat of summer. Also present at the ceremony were CMEC Supervisory Board Chairman Quan Huaqiang, board members Wang Zhian, Zhang Fusheng, Liu Li, Liu Hongyu and Fang Yongzhong, Party Secretary of CPC Baoshan District Committee Wang Hong, Deputy District Head Su Ping, leaders of relevant departments and Gaojing Town, President Xu Biao of Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd., as well as leaders of all participant construction units. The completion ceremony was chaired by General Manager Zhang Tiejun of Shanghai International Freight Transport Co., Ltd.

Zhang Chun made a speech first of all to extend his warm welcome to the leaders and guests. He pointed out that the construction of the plaza is an important measure for implementing CMEC's market strategy of 'placing equal emphasis on overseas and domestic markets', adjusting business structure, focusing on business innovation and forging an all-new business segment of property management.

CMEC Shanghai Project Office made great contributions so as to build the plaza into an excellent project by means of hard working, careful organization, scientific management, meticulous design and construction and close cooperation with Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd. and other participant construction units. The completion of the project is impossible without the use of the wisdom and painstaking efforts of all engineering technicians, management personnel and construction workers.

Zhang expressed his heartfelt thanks to the concerns and great supports of the governments of Baoshan District and Gaojing Town for the project. Baoshan District has listed CMEC Plaza as a main functional zone of Baoshan S&T Innovation Center, and pledges to make further contributions to the economic and social development of the district.

At the end of the meeting, Zhang noted that the plaza will serve as an important part of CMEC's business segment of properties. He urged CMEC Shanghai Company to seize the opportunities of business transformation and upgrading, make persistent efforts, free up the mind and break new ground with innovation.

President Xu Biao of Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd. made a speech, saying that it is a great honor for the company to take part in the construction of the project and hoping to deepen strategic cooperation with CMEC in the future.

Su Ping also delivered an enthusiastic speech. He, on behalf of the government of the government of Baoshan District, extended his warm congratulations on the successful completion of the plaza. As an important project for industrial transformation of the district, the project is expected to improve the performance of economic and social development of the district.

At 8:58, CMEC Chairman announced the successful completion of the project, and the leaders of CMEC, Baoshan District and Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd. injected water into the crystal model on the stage, displaying six red Chinese Characters '上海中设广场'. After that, Chairman Sun Bai and Party Secretary Wang Hong unveiled the nameplate for the 'CMEC Science Park'.

After the ceremony, the leaders of CMEC, Baoshan District and Shanghai Construction No.1 (Group) Co., Ltd. visited the roof space of the building to look forward to the future of CMEC Shanghai Plaza.
