Develop Energy Storage System Solution

(Hong Kong, January 24, 2018) As a professional renewable energy solution provider and building contractor, China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Limited (the "Company" or "Singyes Solar", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group", Stock Code: 0750.HK) today announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with Tonga Power Limited ("TPL") to provide an Energy Storage System solution ("ESS" or the "Project").

Singyes Solar will partner with TPL to provide an 80MWh ESS solution, which dispatches the electric power generated from renewable energy through a micro-grid controller system. The project is expected to be completed by 2020 which will help the Kingdom of Tonga to attain its renewable engery target of 50%. With an estimated cost of approximately US$6 million, the initial phase of 8MWh storage capacity will be completed and operating in 2018.

In October 2017, a Singyes Solar-developed 2MW PV station in the Kingdom of Tonga officially commenced grid-connected operation. The Tonga solar power plant is the first independent power generation system of the country. Each year, the station delivers over 2.8 million kWh of renewable energy to the main island of Tonga, solving the electrical problems for around 1,000 households and effectively reducing the country's reliance on diesel power generation.
