  • 　　On November 17, 2015, China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd. (CSCEC 8th Bureau) completed its 77m extra-deep concrete test down the bottom on Shanghai Shimao Deep Pit Hotel Project.

    　　Located in Sheshan National Tourism Resort, Songshan District, Shanghai City, the Project is currently the first sunken hotel in China with the total building area of approximately 60,000sqm. With its main structure being attached to the pit wall, it has 2 floors over the ground, 14 floors underground up to water surface and 2 floors under the water, becoming the world's lowest level hotel in man-made pit upon its completion.

    　　The Project is complex in structure, using great amount of profiled steel structure and large span beam columns. So far,one National Patent and 4 Patent Licensing for Utility Modelshave been granted out of the Project.(from CSCEC 8th Bureau)
