(Stock Code: 0762)The board of directors (the 'Board') of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited (the 'Company') announces the resignation of Mr. Cai Hongbin ('Mr. Cai') as a director of the Company with effect from 25 November 2015.
Mr. Cai has been an independent non-executive director of the Company since May 2010. He has also been the chairman of nomination committee and a member of audit committee and remuneration committee of the Company (the foregoing committees being the 'Board Committees'). In view of recent expanded responsibilities within his other business interests, Mr. Cai has decided to resign from the Board and the Board Committees.
Mr. Cai has confirmed that there is no disagreement with the Board and there is no matter relating to his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.
The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Cai for his valuable contributions to the Company.
