China XLX Honored The Most Energy Efficient Enterprise For 3 Consecutive Years
(7 Aug 2014, Hong Kong) China XLX Fertiliser Limited ("China XLX" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries collectively as the "Group" ) (HKSE: 01866.HK）is
pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Henan Xinlianxin Fertiliser Co., Ltd ("Henan XLX") was awarded as "Benchmark Enterprise for Leading Energy Efficient Companies" by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation for three consecutive years. It further highlights the Group's leadership in energy saving in the industry.
China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation recently announced a list of leading energy efficient companies in 2013 in Beijing and Henan XLX was named the most energy efficient synthetic ammonia producer utilizing anthracite as raw material.
The first list of leading energy efficient companies was compiled in Japan, with a view to promoting measures to enhance energy saving in the industry. The most energy efficient producer of a particular product will be a benchmark, leading other market players to do and implement best practices that will improve overall energy efficiency in the industry. In 2013, fertiliser market in China was severely challenged by oversupply. In response to the state's the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the Company continued to promote reorganization and redevelop its plan. Through the implementation of the "overall cost comes first; integrate with differentiation" strategic approach, use of technological innovation, elimination of obsolete production capacity, establishment of advanced energy management system, and comprehensive management, the Company gained leadership in energy efficiency.

China XLX Fertiliser Ltd., one of the largest and most cost efficient coal-based urea producers in China, is mainly engaged in the production and sale of urea, compound fertiliser and methanol. Its annual production capacity of urea, compound fertiliser and methanol is 2.1 million tons, 750,000 tons and 200,000 tons, respectively.
