On January 5, 2016, in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Chipotle reported that it was served with a Federal Grand Jury Subpoena related to an August 2015 norovirus incident at a Chipotle restaurant in Simi Valley, California. The investigation is being conducted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California in conjunction with the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Criminal Investigations.
