Chorus has today provided an update on its fault restoration performance as at 22 June, 2017.

As a commitment to transparency, Chorus is providing the latest figures every week throughout winter.

Fault restoration across the country has decreased since the previous update, with the average time to restore going from 24.8 hours last week to 23.8 hours yesterday.

Over the coming days, the weather forecast for the Auckland, Northland and Bay of Plenty regions is for heavy rain. This severe weather could impact Chorus' ability to restore faults due to health and safety and access issues.

Chorus' website includes a network outage checker (https://outages.chorus.co.nz) which people can use to see if there is an outage in their area. The tool gives an overview of the outage and estimated restoration times.

Fault restoration performance month to date at 22 June, 2017:

- Faults logged with Chorus: 23,719
- Faults restored month to date: 23,731
- Average time to restore: 23.8 hours
- Current open faults: 1325
- Faults open for more than three days: 32
